Hello! I’m Roxanne Cooke and I work as a freelance writer and photographer in Tacoma, Washington. This website and blog chronicle my adventures in baking and food photography, local good eats in the South Sound, nature photography, and occasional travel photography.
Some background: I hold a bachelor’s degree in communication with an emphasis in journalism from Pacific Lutheran University, and I minored in printing and publishing arts. I’ve worked as a reporter and photographer for The Herald, Nisqually Valley News, The Peninsula Gateway, and Federal Way Mirror. I’ve also been a photographer for PLU. Currently, I work a day job as a production editor for The Data Warehousing Institute in Renton, and spend my free time freelancing and blogging.
