Ever since discovering the wonders of loose leaf tea at Tea Madame back in my reporter days, I’ve amassed a collection of tea infusers and teapots, devoted a cupboard shelf (and office drawer) to storing many varieties, and developed the (healthy!) habit of drinking a cup of day on average. So naturally, I wanted to write about it. I talked to local tea purveyors about their trade, learned more in depth about the health benefits of tea, and photographed tea in macro. I turned it all into an article for the December/January issue of South Sound magazine.
I took a quick Instagram shot, but it’s better in person—the designers did a great job. You can buy the magazine at grocery stores in the South Sound area, including Metropolitan Market, Safeway, and Top Foods.
Writing and taking photos for a local magazine has been a dream of mine for some time. I finally jumped in this past summer with a feature about one of my favorite new dessert trends: froyo. I’ve got another article coming out in the February/March issue, and I can’t wait to share it with you! : )
